Quick and Easy At-home Facial
Have you ever had those moments, when you are rushing to get
ready for work, or maybe even an evening out, and you wish you had made that
call to your aesthetician and had a facial done yesterday?? We have a perfect
solution to these moments…the home facial. Now rest assured, this isn’t all
about the egg white and multani mitti (kaolin clay) masks!!
To maintain healthy and beautiful skin between professional treatments,
its best to give yourself an easy facial at home once a week. And it really isn’t
all that tough!!!
STEP ONE
Wash your face to remove all makeup and dirt.
Oily Complexion – Gentle foaming cleanser ( Johnson and
Johnson’s head to toe baby wash makes a great gentle cleanser)
Dry Skin – Cream/ milk cleanser
STEP TWO
Use a face scrub to exfoliate and buff skin. Our absolute
favorites are the “Dr Brandt – microdermabrasion in a bottle” and the “Olay
Regenerist thermal skin polisher”. Remember, a good scrub should absolutely
never hurt.
STEP THREE
Soak a washcloth with warm water and press it on your face a
couple of times. This is also a good time to use the pore cleansing strips. We continue
to be in love with Biore.
STEP FOUR
Spread a face mask on your face for 10-20 minutes – we recommend
Blossom Kochchar’s Aromatherapy Glossy
mask (available via Indian stores or websites) – its is absolutely the best for
combination skin. For those of you who are more adventurous – mix an avocado
with a tsp of honey – will leave your skin super soft!!!
STEP FIVE
Smooth on a soothing basic moisturizer. No antiaging, anti
acne products as yet- you don’t want to overexfoliate your skin.
There you go – simple yet perfect!!! Enjoy!!!
